DAY 1 April 24th
Everybody arrives independently in Marseille and checks into our hotel in the Old Port area of town.
Late afternoon guided tour of the historic center of the city

DAY 2 April 25th
Take a short ferry ride to do a guided tour of infamous Château d’If, an island fortress and prison made legendary in the Alexandre Dumas novel The Count of Monte Cristo.
Afternoon free to visit Marseille as you wish.

DAY 3 April 26th
In the morning we take a short private bus ride to Aix en Provence and visit the lovely downtown of Aix while doing a guided gourmet tour focusing on the local food and wine specialties of Provence.
After lunch, the bus will take us to our destination of Avignon, where we will check into our hotel.
The rest of your day is free.

DAY 4 April 27th
In the morning we will visit a winemaker from the famous Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation to do a cellar visit, wine tasting, and lunch.
After the winemaker, we will return to Avignon and then visit the imposing Palace of the Popes with a local historical guide.

DAY 5 April 28th
First up this morning we take our private bus to the Camargue estuary where we will do a nature safari tour of this unique ecosystem, hopefully seeing the famous white horses, bulls, and pink flamingos and learning about the fishing and winemaking traditions.
Afterwards, you can grab lunch on your own in the village.
Then the bus will take us to Arles where we check into our hotel.
Late afternoon and evening free.

DAY 6 April 29th
We will spend the morning exploring the ancient city of Arles on a walking tour with a guide, stopping along the way at the iconic places of Van Gogh.
Afternoon free to explore Arles as you wish.

DAY 7 April 30th
On our way to Nice today, our bus will stop at a winemaker in the famous Bandol Appellation for a cellar visit, wine tasting, and lunch. (1h 30m)
Afterwards, we continue on to Nice (2h) and check into our hotel.

DAY 8 May 1st
On our last day, we are taking a short train ride from Nice to Antibes and Juan Les Pins, marvelous coastal villages with an old walled center and fort. We will visit the town and then stop at the Picasso Museum in the Grimaldi Castle where he lived and worked.
Return to Nice by train.

This morning we will do a guided walking tour of Nice. Then you are free to soak up the French Riviera and chill out in this wonderful town for the rest of the day.
