The annual appointment of tourism professionals in Italy, the BIT in Milan, is revving up this week, and Voyager will be making its modest first appearance at it. Armed with flyers, brochures, business cards, proposals, and good cheer, we’re going to be spreading the word about a new way to tour the Cinque Terre and learn about Ligurian culture.
There’s something intimidating about it. After all, this is a major international conference and features massive tourism interests, next to whom we are going to look very small. But at the same time, we know that what we offer here are unique, high-quality tours that should catch the eye of some of the bigger fish.
And so we’re dusting off the natty threads, lacing up the Italian shoes, and heading north. If you’re going to play ball in Milan, you better look the part.
