Study Abroad Daily Schedule

DAY 1

 Private car transfer from the Levanto Railway Station to B&B or Hostel accommodation in Levanto

Afternoon Italian lessons.

Orientation meeting: a tour of Levanto followed by aperitivi overlooking the beach.

DAY 2

 Morning Italian lessons.

Train to Riomaggiore, the first town of the world-famous Cinque Terre.

Visit the town and stop for lunch in a traditional osteria.

Walk the spectacular ‘Camminata dell’amore’ (Lover’s Walk) to Manarola.

Visit Manarola.

Return to Levanto by train.

Evening free.

 DAY 3

 Morning Italian lessons.

Late-morning boat trip from Levanto to visit cliffside grottos and prime snorkeling and swimming waters.

Lunch in Levanto.

Leisurely bike ride along the paved seaside trail to Bonassola, a quaint beach town with the areas best focaccia, past hidden bays and beaches.  For those who prefer staying in the water, we can rent pedal boats or kayaks or sign-up for diving lessons.

DAY 4

 Morning Italian lessons.

Coastal hike from Levanto to Monterosso al Mare, the final of the Cinque Terre.  The hike lasts about 3 hours and has some strenuous parts.

Visit Monterosso.

Guided tour of a nationally-renowned local vineyard with wine-tasting and lunch.

Afternoon free, though the beach in Monterosso is highly-recommended.

 DAY 5

 Morning Italian lessons.

Farewell lunch in an olive grove.

Transfer from B&B or Hostel to Levanto railway station.
